Why stay up late just because it's 2012 the next day. Decent people like to
ring in the New Year at a decent hour is what I say, and then I belch and excuse
myself to myself.
This production is called "It's a New Year, Damnit." It's based on my new show
with new material—a lot of it about my mom and her raccoon friend, and about
being who you want to be via your choice of eyebrow pencil.
THERE WILL BE A BALLOON DROP AND CHAMPAIGN TOAST INCLUDED with the ticket. The
champaign will come in plastic cups if I can help it. Tix are a feisty Holiday

NOV 10, DUSTY’S IN NE MPLS: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BOSSO POETRY COMPANY. I went to this show and became a better person once. Press Release for Aug. 20 weekend:

ASHLEY FOR THE ARTS IS BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER
ARCADIA, Wis. - On Friday, August 20th and Saturday, August 21st; in the Millennium Amphitheater of Arcadia’s breathtaking Memorial Park, Ashley for the Arts is providing two magical days of entertainment - free of charge - for the entire family.
This year, Ashley for the Arts has expanded its art, music and fireworks show in Arcadia with a series of free concerts covering multiple genres, Renaissance entertainers and additional kid’s activities.
Live performances will once again be held in the picturesque Millennium Amphitheater, one of the nation’s finest. The open-air venue provides seating for two thousand spectators and can accommodate an additional two thousand on the sloped area of grass around the rim of the amphitheater.
Ashley for the Arts kicks off on Friday, August 20th at 3:30 p.m., with the Jim Busta Polka Band. The popular polka band has five members, including Jim Busta, who is a member of the Polka Club of Iowa Musicians Hall of Fame; and his daughter, Mollie, who has been named the Favorite Female vocalist by the United States Polka Association (USPA) for 2008 & 2009. Mollie is also an accomplished songwriter and instrumentalist, and has performed at several note-worthy venues, including the Kennedy Center of Performing Arts in Washington, DC. The Jim Busta Polka Band has six CDs and plays at venues throughout Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
The Big River Radio Wave, an hour-long variety show that airs on Wisconsin Public Radio, is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Big River Radio Wave includes performers, themes and topics native to the rural upper Midwest area. The show interweaves original and public domain music performed by the house band The RiverBenders with the offbeat comedy of Minneapolis comedian Mary Mack, storytelling by internationally acclaimed naturalist Kenny Salwey and call in observations from author, speaker and humorist, Michael Perry. The show is normally performed at The Big River Theater in the historic downtown district of Alma, Wisconsin. The support personnel were culled from community volunteers with experience ranging from theatrical, to technology, to financing, art and promotions. The end result is an engaging theatrical experience with an intelligence, wit and charm all its own. Music by the Riverbenders will cap the night at 8 p.m.
The art exhibits open on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. under a large shaded canopy for both exhibitors and buyers. Visitors will have the opportunity to view work covering various art genres from some of the region’s most talented artists. Youth performances will begin at 3:00 p.m. with a 70 member elementary show choir, followed by a performance by Arcadia High School’s marching band and show choir. The Bruce Hering Orchestra is scheduled to take the stage at 4:00 p.m.
At 5:30 p.m., musical entertainment will be provided by Six Mile Grove. The Rochester, Minnesota band has several albums with a fresh, alternative country sound. Jeff Hanna of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band said, “Recently the Dirt Band had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Six Mile Grove. They really knocked us out. Cool tunes, great rootsy grooves, and not a wasted note. These guys are the real deal.” Six Mile Grove was founded in 1997 in Lyle, MN (population 500) by brothers Brandon and Brian Sampson, Barry Nelson and Dezi Wallace.
At 7:00 p.m., Ashley for the Arts will feature a half hour fire show, where fire performers will amaze and amuse the audience with a beautiful display of skill and danger. Each entertainer has their own special skill whether it be a martial art weapon demonstration, fire Poi, fire hula hoop, and fire juggling.
This will be followed by a performance by 3-time Grammy award winner Bill Miller. Miller is an accomplished recording artist, performer, songwriter and painter. He also has strong ties to the La Crosse area. A fireworks show is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Food and beverages will once again be served at the Ashley food and beverage booth, including a large variety of wine from local wineries. 100% of the profits at the Ashley food and beverage booth will go toward Ashley’s Little Angels, providing food, clothing and toys to area children in need during the holidays. Ashley’s Little Angels is a non-profit organization comprised of volunteers in three states, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Pennsylvania.

As some of you may know The Big River Radio Wave starts airing on Wisconsin Public Radio stations 90.3 WHLA out of LaCrosse and 88.3 WHWC out of Eau Claire this Friday, August 7 at 6pm and will be on every Friday in August at that same time.
Wisconsin Public Radio is (as it should be) very reactive to listener response. The hilarious Mr. Louie Anderson asked me to come and perform in his "Hard Times, Big Laughs" show. I am honored to do it! I only knew of 2 comedians growing up, and they were Louie Anderson and Bill Cosby. My family rented both their VHS tapes (and a VCR) from Yorchuck's Video (and I think they had lumber too). To this day, these are the only 2 comedians' specials I have seen in entirety. Also, tell me if you know somebody around there (Portland, ME?) who would want to book me on the night before!!! By the Way, if Obama is president, I think we would get a little more money for our plasma, but if Nader were president we wouldn't have to give plasma. If McCain is president, then our plasma has already been sold to a corporation without us knowing it. (Luckily, his wife's company will distribute it free of charge.) Consequently, I don't qualify to give plasma, because I don't weigh enough partially due to Bush being president for 8 years.

I only knew of 2 comedians growing up, and they were Louie Anderson and Bill Cosby. My family rented both their VHS tapes (and a VCR) from Yorchuck's Video (and I think they had lumber too). To this day, these are the only 2 comedians' specials I have seen in entirety. Northrup Auditorium, Dec. 27 with Louie Anderson
While I do have my own little holiday shows around the midwest, I've been asked to participate in a great big holiday show at the Northrup Auditiorium this Dec. 27! The hilarious Mr. Louie Anderson asked me to come and perform in his "Hard Times, Big Laughs" show. I am honored to do it! Sept. 26, Fri., ME , Bate's College It's really expensive to fly to Maine. If you know somebody who goes to this college, tell them to donate some plasma so they can buy my cd. Also, tell me if you know somebody around there (Portland, ME?) who would want to book me on the night before!!! By the Way, if Obama is president, I think we would get a little more money for our plasma, but if Nader were president we wouldn't have to give plasma. If McCain is president, then our plasma has already been sold to a corporation without us knowing it. (Luckily, his wife's company will distribute it free of charge.) Consequently, I don't qualify to give plasma, because I don't weigh enough partially due to Bush being president for 8 years.
